Position Summary
Tally Clerk primary responsibility is to execute the warehouse operation such as offloading, segregation, receiving, put away, picking, packing, loading of shipments and preparing necessary documents. He will be getting instructions from Floor Supervisor / Logistics Coordinator and execute the orders in coordination with Forklift operators & Porters. On the job training will be provided by means of a SOP covering quality and safety standards to increase efficiency, productivity and achieve set targets.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Receives instruction from office and arranges for Offloading, Receiving, Segregation, Palletizing and Put away of inbound shipments and prepares the necessary reports.
  • Verifies the Documents, Cargo & Container before offloading the cargo.
  • Report the Damage, Excess and shortage in the shipment to Supervisor (Floor) / Logistics Coordinator.
  • Arranges Empty location by doing moving & clubbing as instructed by Supervisor (Floor)
  • Receives instruction from office and arranges for Picking, Packing, Labeling and Loading of outbound shipments and prepares necessary reports.
  • Verifies the Document, Cargo & condition of Container before loading and arranges lashing based on the stuffing / loading.
  • Application of RF scanner for Inbound & Outbound functions where applicable.
  • Stock count, Cycle count and Inventory clubbing.
  • Manages the WH Operatives & Forklift Operators allocated to them to execute the task.
  • Communicate job completion and task related irregularities with immediate supervisor.
  • Work towards the Quality and Customer Satisfaction level set by the Management.
  • Enforce Safety and housekeeping rules in order to ensure best safety practices around the warehouse.
Entry Requirements / Job Specifications
  • Minimum Educational Qualification should be Higher Secondary.
  • Knowledge to understand & speak English fluently.
  • Ability to communicate in Hindi / Urdu or other native language may be an advantage.
  • Expertise in numeracy skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Warehouse Operation.
  • Capable to work continually for long hours indoor & outdoor.
  • A positive, confident and determined approach.
  • Skills to work both independently and as part of a team.
