Position Summary
Forklift Operator primary responsibility is to operate Electrical / Diesel Forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities. He will be reporting to Supervisor / Tally Clerk and receive on-the-job training by means of a SOP covering Quality and Safety Standards to increase efficiency, productivity and achieving the set targets.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Offloading of Inbound shipments from Container / Trailer / Pickup.
  • Keeping the cargo in marshalling area for segregation & receiving.
  • Put away of cargoes in to Rack / Designated area with RF Terminal.
  • Pullout of cargoes from Rack with RF Terminal.
  • Loading of shipments to Container / Trailer / Pickup.
  • Move / Shift the cargoes as per supervisor instruction.
  • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery for Electric Machine and fill the fuel for diesel machine.
  • Clean & Maintain the MHE and report the MHE related issues to immediate Supervisor.
  • Ensure no accidents / damage to equipment / facility and cargo.
  • Communicate job completion and task related irregularities with immediate supervisor.
  • Execute the assigned task by enforcing the Quality Standard of the company.
  • Enforce Safety and housekeeping rules in order to ensure best safety practices around the warehouse.
Entry Requirements / Job Specifications
  • Clean driving record and a valid RTA operator’s license required.
  • Minimum Educational Qualification should be primary.
  • Knowledge to understand & speak basic English.
  • Ability to communicate in Hindi / Urdu or other native language may be an advantage.
  • Basic numeracy skills.
  • Capable to work continually for long hours indoor & outdoor.
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
