Warehouse Operative (Porter) works under the direction of a Supervisor / Tally Clerk. His primary responsibility covers all inbound, outbound and in-house functions including offloading & loading tasks. Operatives receive on-the-job training by means of an SOP covering 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize & Sustain). The objective is to increase efficiency, productivity and achieve set targets.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Offloading, Receiving, Segregation, Palletizing and Put away of inbound shipments.
• Picking, Packing, Labeling and Loading of outbound shipments.
• Stock count, Cycle count and Inventory clubbing.
• Communicate job completion and task related irregularities with immediate supervisor.
• Execute the assigned task by enforcing the Quality Standard of the company.
• Enforce Safety and housekeeping rules in order to ensure best safety practices around the warehouse.

Entry Requirements / Job Specifications

• Minimum Educational Qualification should be primary.
• Knowledge to understand & speak basic English.
• Ability to communicate in Hindi / Urdu or other native language may be an advantage.
• Basic numeracy skills.
• Capable to work continually for long hours indoor & outdoor.
• Capable to handle and move heavy cargoes / cartons including loading / unloading of delivery trucks.
• Application of RF scanner for Inbound & Outbound functions where applicable (New joiners exempted for a maximum period of six months).
• Ability to operate a hand pallet jack, ride on trolley / stacker and relevant machines including weighing scale & wrapping machine where applicable (New joiners exempted for a maximum period of six months).
